Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the Side Reminder application (the "App") operated by Origami Studio ("we," "our," or "us"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Description of Service

Side Reminder is a macOS application that provides quick access to your Apple Reminders from the edge of your screen. The App features edge-activated panel display, voice input, focus timer, and reminder organization. Your reminder content is stored locally on your device and managed through Apple's Reminders system.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. By using the App, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

3. User Accounts

Side Reminder does not require account registration. Your data remains local to your device or within your personal Apple/iCloud account. No user account is created with or managed by us.

4. Subscriptions, Purchases, and Payments

• Certain premium features are available through a subscription ("Side Reminder Pro").
• All transactions are processed through the Apple App Store. We do not directly process payments.
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
• You can manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple ID settings.
• Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with their refund policies.
• We reserve the right to modify pricing with reasonable notice.

5. User Content

• You retain full ownership of all content you create or manage through the App, including reminders, notes, and links.
• You are responsible for ensuring that your content complies with applicable laws.
• Content is stored locally on your device and synced through Apple's iCloud service when enabled.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Attempt to circumvent any security features of the App
• Interfere with or damage the App's functionality
• Use the App in any manner that violates applicable laws or regulations

7. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in the App, including its design, features, code, and content (excluding user content), are owned by Origami Studio. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.

8. Third-Party Services

The App integrates with the following third-party services:

• Apple EventKit / iCloud — Reminders data access and sync
• RevenueCat — Subscription and purchase management
• Amplitude — Usage analytics
• Firebase Crashlytics — Crash reporting

Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.

9. Voice Input

The App includes an optional voice input feature powered by on-device speech recognition (SenseVoice). All voice processing occurs locally on your Mac. By using voice input, you acknowledge that speech recognition accuracy may vary, and you are responsible for reviewing and editing any transcribed content.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Origami Studio shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly. Our total liability shall not exceed the greater of the amounts paid by you to us within the 12 months preceding the claim or $50 USD.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Origami Studio and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising out of your use of the App or your violation of these Terms.

13. Termination

• You may stop using the App and uninstall it at any time.
• We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without cause or notice.
• Upon termination, your locally stored data remains on your device.

14. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be communicated through App updates. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Seoul, Republic of Korea.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

17. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Origami Studio regarding the use of the App.
